I started teaching at North Lamar in 1991, and I am beginning my 30^th year as a Panther.

I taught English Language Arts for 18 years and  speech communication for 8 years.I now have the reading lab and use the READ180 program. 

I have been married to my wonderful husband Hank for 27 years. He works at Kimberly CLark.

We have two kids. Morgan is 26 and works as a Foster and Adoption Developer. She is a 2012 NL graduate, has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Stephen F Austin, and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas Arlington.  She and her husband Michael have a one year old daughter, Hendrix Rose.  She is the light of our lives!

Ryder is a senior at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene where he plays football for the Cowboys and is majoring in Environmental Science. He is a 2017 NL graduate.
