I started teaching at North Lamar in 1997 & I am beginning my 26^th year. 

I have taught 6^th, 7^th, & 8^th grade History, 6^th & 7^th grade Language Arts, 8^th grade Drama, 6^th grade People, Places, & Faces, & 6^th grade Health/Study Skills. 

Currently, I teach 7^th grade Keyboarding, 6^th grade Social Studies, & 8^th grade Journalism. I am the yearbook advisor & head of the History department. 

I am married to husband Mitch Hess. Mitch is a Business Operations Manager for United Ag & Turf. 

I have a step-daughter, Mikaela, who graduated from North Lamar in 2018. She graduated from Grayson County Community College in December 2020 with her RN degree. 

We have a Golden Retriever, Lily Mae. 

We enjoy camping & going to the lake, & floating the Comal & San Marcos Rivers.
