I began teaching at NL in 2009. I teach regular and advanced 6^th and 7^th math classes. 

I am also the 8^th Grade Cheer Coach for Stone Middle School

Prior to teaching at NL, I taught 5^th grade reading and math at Paris ISD for 11 years.

Prior to that, I taught math at the middle school at Clarksville ISD for 2 years.

I have one son, Joel Blake Smith, from San Antonio, Texas.

I have a Mini Dachshund named Lucy and a cat named Becky.

I love running 5k’s. I completed a Spartan Super in 2022, Boerne,Texas. 

I also love traveling to beautiful places. Last year, I traveled to Cabo, San Lucas and to the island of Saint Maarten.

I also love spending time with family and working in my yard.
